The 4th generation of kk handloom, Bommisetti Karunakaran definitionally knows the secret ingredient to weave beautiful Venkatagiri – Cotton, Cotton Silk, Pure silk sarees.

When most of the weavers were switching from cotton/cotton silk saree to pure silk saree I continued to weave cotton/ cotton silk saree says Karunakaran he further added my father always taught me “”Always preserve the tradition of your weaving”” and I am just walking on his words.

Becoming a weaver was in my blood and I am very proud to be a small part of this community. In our family, children know how handlooms work before they know any other thing. I have to drop out of 7th grade because my father was so unstable and being the eldest son I have to look after the family. Specialised in Venkatagiri – Cotton, Cotton Silk, Pure silk sarees. Bommisetti Karunakar has been working for over 20 years now in making beautiful Venkatagiri saree. We have a total of 8 looms and 16 members in our small kk handloom family. I am nothing without these 16 people who work day & night and pour their heart & soul into the creation.”
