Shantiniketan (Bolpur) has always been tourist’s attraction for its unique handicraft (fashion and utility) products. Being a native, Hasirani found that there is a huge demand of locally designed bags specially Kantha stitch bags. Thus, she decided to start that business. Niloy Kantha Stitch has more than fifty options of bags for men and women. Thirty households are earning livelihood from this business and twelve women are directly involved.
